The now iconic Orange and Powder Blue of the Gulf Automotive team came from a business acquisition in the 1970. The Orange and Dark blue of the Gulf company was deemed too dull for its racing livery, but the Powder Blue and Orange of the Wilshire Oil Company has now become one of the most widely recognisable motorsport liveries of all time.

Porsche and Gulf enjoyed victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1970 with a fantastic 1-2 finish in the 917 cars of the John Wyer Automotive Team car #1&2.

The period correct ducktail engine lid is a composite replica with a genuine grill, prepared and painted in a faithful shade of Blue with high-quality 3M Gulf Racing-inspired graphics and a RSR badge.

This eye-catching statement piece would look fantastic on any Garage Wall, Car Collection, or commercial environment as a customer conversation piece.
