1965 to 1970 was a stellar period for Porsche Rally Cars in the “Queen of Rallies” the Monte Carlo. Class and overall victories from British driver Quick Vic Elford cemented the early 1965 success despite the snow for Porsche employees Herbert Linge and Peter Falk, finally finishing in 5th Place.
Our Tribute display pays homage to car No 147 which was painstakingly restored by Porsche Classic in 2015 and then driven by legendary rally driver Walter Rohrl.
Akin to a giant “Airfix” style kit our display would look fantastic housed with any collection or maybe in a commercial environment as a great customer talking point.
The modular galvanised frame measures 2.1m high and 2.2m wide and can be floor or wall mounted.
The composite Polo Red long nose bonnet has been carefully modified to replicate the original to include number plate, night lights and period graphics of the day. The engine decklid includes a genuine Porsche grill along with leather pull handles and appropriate accessories. Finally, the steel powder coated wheels represent the skinny 165 profile tyres of the period and finish the display fantastically.
